The Minister of Agriculture of the Republic of Artsakh Ashot Bakhshiyan visited Shushi University of Technology

The Minister of Agriculture of the Republic of Artsakh Ashot Bakhshiyan visited Shushi University of Technology on June 19, 2020.

Minister Bakhshiyan got acquainted with the activities of the natural- scientific  laboratory of the university and with the head of the laboratory Gagik Nersisyan and discussed issues related to organizing the production of essential oils, creams and balms produced at the laboratory.

Together with Rector Hovhannes Tokmajyan and Vice-Rector Saribek Galstyan the Minister discussed the possibility of increasing the yield of winter crop and other crops in rain fed conditions through the use of polymer mineral materials.

Minister Bakhshiyan and Rector Tokmajyan also exchanged ideas on the issues of the management of Artsakh water resources.

Minister Bakhshiyan noted that the zoning of agricultural lands of Astghashen  which had been carried out by the university since 2019 was of great importance and  hoped that this year the zoning would be summed up with a final report.

Summing up the working meeting Minister Bakhshiyan expressed his satisfaction with the research work carried out at the university and suggested some   instructions.

The Minister of Agriculture of the Republic of Artsakh was accompanied by the Deputy Minister of Agriculture Tigran Arstamyan and the Head of  Shushi Veterinary Station Sargis Baghunts.

Adviser to the President of the Republic of Artsakh Karen Nersisyan also attended the meeting.
